Queer Hockey Hamilton is a new community hockey organization established and run by queer players. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe environment for all members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Our mission is to create a safe space where individuals of all genders, sexual orientations and skill levels can join in on the love of hockey while being their authentic selves.
Our mission and values revolve around advocating for inclusivity, promoting equity, empowering through sport, igniting change in hockey, and building lasting relationships within QHH and beyond.
All 2SLGBTQ+ welcome, all genders and allies who will keep the space safe.
ALL skill levels welcome as well, even if you have never played before, never too late to start!
Full equipment required – Loaner Locker available.
PARTICIPATE
Registration is available TWO WEEKS ahead of each scheduled ice time at 12:00PM.
You can register through our Google form – available on our LinkTree (in our Instagram bio.) We also post regularly on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
We currently play twice per month at Wentworth Sports Complex (2100 Main St W, Hamilton, ON L8S 1J2.)
The arena is fully equipped with spectator seating at rink level, a restaurant & bar and free parking.
Our bi-weekly shinny currently operates at a rate of $15 per player. This cost helps to cover ice and insurance fees.
We also offer special events and sessions, which may vary in price.
