Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized temporary Independent Contractor to facilitate Pride Parades. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for LGBTQ+ advocacy, and experience in event coordination. As a Pride Parade Facilitator, you will work closely with community organizers, volunteers, and parade officials to ensure the smooth execution of Pride Parade events.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local parade organizations and local stakeholders to plan and coordinate pride parade logistics, including route mapping, and scheduling of activities.
  • Assist with the registration and check-in process for parade participants, providing them
    with necessary information and materials, and directing them to their designated spots along the parade route.
  • Maintain order and safety among parade participants, ensuring that everyone respects the boundaries and guidelines set forth by the organizers.
  • Organizing and coordinating pre- or post-parade team events play a crucial role in enhancing the overall parade experience and the success of parade participation.
  • Participate in weekly Zoom meetings with the manager to discuss project updates, goals, and action plans.
Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using Zoom or similar video conferencing platforms, including scheduling meetings, and managing participants
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving
  • Other duties as necessary for the successful completion of Pride Pride
