In Her Voice

3: Life lessons in sports and encouraging girls to dream bigger with Kiera Lyons (Part 1)

We are bringing you THE FIRE for our first guest episode on the her Soul Shot Podcast—Kiera Lyons is incredible and we can’t wait for you to hear her wisdom (there was so much we had to split it into two episodes!).

Kiera grew up at the diamond, on the court, and at the rink, playing every sport she could. Forced to choose one sport to focus on in university, Kiera chose basketball and played for the Augustana Vikings and the University of Saskatchewan. After university, she continued in the sports world as an in-game host with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Edmonton Stingers, and works at Goliath High Performance Training as a personal trainer for athletes.

Now, Kiera focuses her time on ensuring other girls have the opportunity to dream bigger than she ever did.

In Part 1 of Kiera’s story you’ll learn what sports have taught her beyond the court, why failure is a good thing,  how to channel your nerves to perform at your best (even if you have stage fright), and how girls can dream even bigger.
