22: If she can hear it, she can be it: Kenzie Lalonde’s rise as a play-by-play announcer

Kenzie Lalonde knew she wanted to stay in sports when she was ready to hang up her skates, but she didn’t know how quickly she’d be living out her dream and calling some of the biggest hockey goals – cue Marie-Philip Poulin.

Being a play-by-play announcer wasn’t on Kenzie’s radar when she started her broadcasting career. Now, she holds the title of the first woman to call a QMJHL game and is showing girls and women around the world what’s possible by calling the top women’s hockey games.

And this is just the beginning for her.
