NOWSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that centralizes support and promotion of community-based adult women’s sports, connecting athletic organizations, the community, and the resources they need. We are advocates for women in sports throughout greater Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown and our mission is to expand awareness for community-based sports in Northeast Ohio and offer supportive services for individual athletes, teams, their coaches and staff.

Social media promotion of sport opportunities for girls and women
In-person and digital marketing of existing community-based sports through events, local news outlets and publications, and email newsletters
Marketing consultation for partner organizations

Helping find a sport that fits your lifestyle.
Access mental health and community resource support provided by a licensed professional
Discuss financial options to enable sport participation
Ease transitions between various stages of sports participation.
